To Be Heard

"To Be Heard" Is a Documentary that records the life's of a group of three young adults, a tripod, around the South Bronx as they use poetry to escape, or convey their message outward into the world. Anthony Pittman, Karina Sanchez, and Pearl Quick are the protagonists of the movie. The tripod forms a bond through poetry, where they learn to express themselves to the best of their ability with this form of writing. The movie itself does show and reflect how simple pieces of paper, a flow of words could mean holding on to your dignity, your composure or not falling into the cracks of the South Bronx. The inspiration in this film shows that someone could surpass the harsh realities of the world, and escape through a means of writing very profound words
