To Be Heard

"To Be Heard" Is a Documentary that records the life's of a group of three young adults, a tripod, around the South Bronx as they use poetry to escape, or convey their message outward into the world. Anthony Pittman, Karina Sanchez, and Pearl Quick are the protagonists of the movie. The tripod forms a bond through poetry, where they learn to express themselves to the best of their ability with this form of writing. The movie itself does show and reflect how simple pieces of paper, a flow of words could mean holding on to your dignity, your composure or not falling into the cracks of the South Bronx. The inspiration in this film shows that someone could surpass the harsh realities of the world, and escape through a means of writing very profound words

My Personal Bane.

I hate Poems. I loathe the flow of rhymes, despise the deeper meaning, and detest the structure of it all. Nothing can sadate my everlasting, seething rage for this blasphime people call "peoms." But the one thing I can not bear to stand are sappy love peoms. Nothing else fills my heart with such discontempt, such a cataclysmic wrath then love peoms. They all have the same meaning, differen't words, maybe, but the overall message of it is the same age old crap. Writing, or even HEARING one of those wretched pieces of paper someone could call "love peoms" makes me want to donkey punch my girlfriend...
